Grant Applications

The Vernon K. Krieble Foundation accepts grant proposals throughout the year. The Foundation has no formal application form or standardized format for receiving grant requests. The Board of Directors of the Foundation will approve funding only for those organizations and projects which involve public policy research and education on issues supporting the preservation, and in some cases the restoration, or freedom and democracy in the United States, according to the principles of the Founding Fathers. It is recommended that each proposal that is submitted contain the following information:

  • A concise summary of the project including objectives and significance of issues in relationship to the Foundation’s purposes,
  • The names and qualifications of the organizations and individuals involved in the proposal,
  • A project budget including the amount requested from the Vernon K. Krieble Foundation and other sources of income,
  • A copy of the IRS letter confirming the organization’s tax-exempt status under Section 501 (c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, or an international equivalent.

Each request is acknowledged promptly in writing upon receipt. Proposals consistent with Foundation guidelines and objectives are submitted to the directors for further review.

The Board of Directors of the Foundation meets at least twice annually to review requests and makes distributions following the meetings of the Board. Applicants can expect to be notified in writing on the status of their proposal following these biannual meetings. Due to the number of proposals received and the Foundation’s finite resources, many worthwhile projects may not be funded. All proposals and inquiries should be sent to:

The Vernon K. Krieble Foundation
1777 South Harrison Street,
Suite 807
Denver, CO 80210

The Foundation requests that all grant recipients provide a follow-up report on the success of their project, its final sources of funding, and its ongoing needs, if any. This follow-up report is a requirement before any additional grants requests can be considered.
